For psychologists, psychotherapists & coaches
From Strategy
to Market.
Reach the people who need what you do — without spending your whole week on social media or feeling like you’re constantly selling yourself.
You’re not reaching enough people
For someone with your level of training and experience, that gap is frustrating
You’re hard to find online
Or visible in a way that doesn’t reflect your professional credibility
Referrals are inconsistent
You can’t build on something you can’t predict or control
You want sustainable growth
Not a lucky month followed by a quiet one
You became a psychologist, psychotherapist or coach to help people. Not to become a marketer. But here you are, wondering how to reach the people who actually need what you offer.
Marketing what you do is genuinely different from marketing most other things — and it doesn’t matter whether that means filling a diary with the right private clients, launching a course or programme, or taking a new service to a corporate audience. The ethics are complex. The language has to be right. You can’t simply run an ad and hope for the best, and the last thing you want is to come across as pushy or sales-focused to an audience that is potentially cautious and discerning.
What makes it harder still is that none of this is what you trained for. Getting your work in front of the right people — and converting that interest into clients, students or organisations willing to pay — is a completely different skill from the work itself. From Strategy to Market is built for practitioners who know they need to be more visible, but want to do it in a way that feels right — and actually works.
What’s Available
Reaching the people who need your work.
Whether you’re building a client base, reaching organisations, or both — the approach is built around where your ideal audience actually is.
Reaching Your Audience
Reaching Your AudienceWhether you're building a fuller diary of private clients, launching a course or programme, or opening doors to the corporate market — the approach is the same: understand who you need to reach, get in front of them in the right way, and convert interest into action. Below are the two audiences I help you reach, and the tools I use to get there.
Who you’re reaching
Individual & Private Audiences
Individuals seeking support for themselves, and buyers of products, courses or programmes. I help you identify where they’re looking, what they need to hear, and how to reach them — through directories, search, referrals, email or the right platforms. The approach is always bespoke to what you’re offering and where your audience is.
Individual Reach
The Corporate Doorsstep Programme
For practitioners who want to reach employers, education institutions and the public sector. A structured programme to identify the right organisations, position your offer correctly, and open doors directly with the decision-makers who can commission your work — using targeted LinkedIn outreach and specialist prospecting tools to reach the right people, not just wait to be found.
Corporate, Public Sector & Education REACH
How I help get you there
Social Media
Content strategy, platform selection and consistent posting that builds trust with your audience over time — done with you, or managed on your behalf if you’d rather not do it yourself.
BUILD VISIBILITY
Content & Copy Writing
Ethically sound, warm and credible copy that communicates what you do without overpromising — website copy, blogs, newsletters, email sequences and more.
COMMUNICATE CLEARLY
Web & Digital Presence
A website or app is often what converts interest into action. I can advise on content and structure, project manage a build through a trusted partner agency, write the specification for an app, liaise with developers and manage the process — so you don’t have to navigate that world on your own.
YOUR DIGITAL HOME
How It Works
Understand. Build. Convert.
Understand Your Audience
Before any marketing begins, we work out together who you’re trying to reach, what they need to hear, and where they’re already looking. Nothing moves forward until we’ve agreed on the direction.
Build Your Visibility
I put in place the content, channels and copy that puts you in front of the right people — consistently and ethically — without requiring you to perform online constantly.
Convert Interest into Results
Visibility without conversion is just noise. I make sure your online presence, enquiry process and messaging actually turns interest into clients, sales or organisational contracts.
“Done well, marketing in the mental health space is an ethical act in itself. It means being visible without being pushy, clear without being clinical, and credible without overpromising. When you get the balance right, the right people find you.”
– Brian Tancock – Founder, Informing Minds
Is this for you?
This track is right for you if…
- You're not reaching enough people — whether that's a quieter diary than you'd like, or a product or programme that hasn't found its audience yet
- You've created something — a course, a programme, a workshop — and now you need to reach the people it was made for
- You know you're hard to find online, but everything you've tried has felt either wrong or ineffective
- You want to reach organisations — employers, NHS trusts, schools — but don't know how to position your offer or get in the room
- Your website or profile is out of date, off-tone, or just doesn't do justice to what you actually do
- You want someone who genuinely understands this space — the ethics, the sensitivities, the audience — not a generic marketer who treats you like any other client

Your Partner
Hi, I'm Brian.
I’ve spent 40 years in business across international banking, project management and risk. The last 10 years I’ve worked with psychologists, psychotherapists and coaches around the world — and the thing I hear most consistently is that marketing feels wrong. Inauthentic. Like a betrayal of something.
I understand that. But I’ve also seen what happens when good practitioners stay invisible — the people who could benefit from their work never find them. That’s a loss on both sides.
Good marketing in this space isn’t about selling yourself — it’s about helping the right people find you. Done well, it’s a service to your potential clients, not a performance for an audience. My job is to make that happen without asking you to compromise anything.
My background in project management and risk means I don’t just advise — I plan, manage and deliver. Whether that’s building a content strategy, writing copy, managing a web project, or opening doors in a corporate organisation, I see it through.
- Content strategy and social media management for health and wellness practitioners
- Copywriting for clinical audiences — clear, credible and ethically sound
- Web and digital project management through trusted partner agencies
- Public and private sector engagement and contract experience
- 10 years of practitioner-sector insight across the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia
- Comfortable navigating the commercial and ethical realities of the mental health space
